Risk: Metal Gear Solid sneaking out soon

So, we have some interesting news for you. It seems that one of our favorite video games Metal Gear Solid and the classic board game Risk are coming together to give us a beautiful combo of a game. Here is the basic overview of Risk: Metal Gear Solid: players will control one of five private military companies fighting for global dominance (of course), by using a variation of the Risk 2008 rules update.

On the game board you have six standard zones and 42 territories, along with an Outer Haven battleship addition. There are also about 275 custom plastic pieces representing the five PMC’s, neutral armies and cities; 8 Boss Cards, 40 Drebin’s Cards, 42 Territory Cards and 8 Rewards that can be earned.

This board game will be only available through USAopoly.com, and the beginning “presale” starts October 3 for $50. No official launch date has been given yet.

Will this be something awesome that we will all want to sit around and play? Or will it be a pretty box and a novel idea but sit on our shelves proudly in display still wrapped in the packaging? I guess we’ll have to wait and see, it sounds like an a great idea and could be fun. Check back for more details later. Like always, we love to hear what  you think. Let us know how you feel about this game in the comments field below.
