Another Thursday has arrived, and it comes bearing the gift of a new slate of downloadables for Nintendo’s systems. The highest profile of these releases is Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 for the 3DS Virtual Console. A true sequel to Super Mario Land 2 in subtitle only, Wario’s first staring role is a departure from the regular Mario formula, but the one I’m going to grab first. Tagging along is GameBoy classic Mole Mania, which is a forgotten action/puzzler produced my Nintendo legend Shigeru Miyamoto.
On the 3DSWare side, we get a new RPG from Mutant Mudds and Bomb Monkey developer Renegade Kid called Planet Crashers. It looks interesting enough, and a lack of RPGs on the system may help its cause. Also available is Dot Runner: Complete Edition.
This weekend’s sale is for art application Colors! 3D for $3.99. Another sale brings us the first item in the “Month of Mario” event, NES classic Super Mario Bros., which is also available for $3.99 through next Wednesday.
Rounding out the slate is yet another NeoGeo fighting game for the Wii Virtual Console and a means to get your non-mascot Olympics on for DSiWare.
What will you be picking up? Who wants a pretty press release?
