Last week’s FTPF didn’t get done since I was in Milwaukee drinking myself stupid, so here are a couple of cat games that are free for this weekend. Keep in mind these games ask you for some donations – so pay if you feel you should – but since you can get them gratis, they fill the need for my column here.
First up is Psychic Cat, where you are a psychic cat wandering about a weird landscape. There are giant green men who want nothing more than to crush you, but your psychic abilities can defeat them. There are also giant monolithic space suits. This one requires a pretty good graphics processor, so keep that in mind. Even at the fastest setting, mine was pretty choppy. Great ambient soundtrack, though.

Next is Cat Show. You have disguised yourself as a cat to sneak into a cat talent competition and win 10,000 cat-dollars. It’s short and goofy as hell, and worth the 4MB download. (remember when that was a half-hour on dialup? my how the times have changed) Just remember that cats don’t talk. They only meow.
