Friday comes once again, and today’s Free To Play Friday is the winner of Ludum Dare 33 – the 3-day game jam where the theme was “you are the monster.”
I’ve featured a few of these over the past Fridays, so here’s to capping this week off with the champ, Mobs, Inc. In it, you play a mob (for those of you not into MMO terminology, it means “Mobile Object,” basically anything you can kill) tasked with dashing through adventurers. Level up and get some powerful spells that you can use. Get 4 verbal warnings and You’re Fired.
It’s pretty evident why this one rose to the top – this game is more polished in three days then many multi-cycle games I’ve seen. Controls are silky-smooth, the visuals are just right, and everything is just sharp.
