I thought this was a joke when I first saw it. After reading more of the press info, I released it was for real, and I got excited! Although, I know, I’ve never seen a Rambo movie its before my time, I know who he is and how badass he is! I’m going to have to go rent and watch all of them now.
There still isn’t a release date, but word is that there will be more on the game at Gamescom. We will keep you updated for sure! In the meantime check out the teaser video below along with some in game screenshots.
Rambo: The Video Game will encompass the first three Rambo movies, First Blood, Rambo: First Blood Part II, and Rambo: First Blood Part III, and will of course feature a shirtless ripped Rambo shooting the hell out of bad guys. The game will be a “fixed-perspective first-person shooter” and will come packed with destructible environments, knife-play, stealth kills, rag-doll physics, and cover-based shooting.
Reef Entertainment’s Commercial Director Craig Lewis said the game will use a “contemporary game engine” and that it will match “the pace and action set-piece diversity of the films.”
