Nintendo wasted no time at their main E3 presentation in announcing one of the most anticipated titles heading into this year’s conference: Pikmin 3!
Now sporting amazing HD graphics, Pikmin 3 features a new rock pikmin and deeper strategy. Miyamoto started off the conference by telling us how a player will use the Wii MotionPlus & nunchuk for the main control and that the Wii U GamePad will be used to always show a map of the environment. You can also use only the GamePad if you want. You can control four different leaders at a time, but Olimar is mysteriously missing. Also included is a challenge mode where the object is to collect as much fruit as you can within a certain time limit.
The game is absoluetly stunning in HD with a high level of detail in the environments and the pikmin themselves. No release date was revealed, but this is definitley one to keep an eye on.
