The last announcement made on the Nintendo Direct in Japan was that New Super Mario Bros. 2 was going to be released on the 3DS this August. How this is numbered 2 is kinda confusing since the second “new” Super Mario game was technically on the Wii. Either way, Raccoon suit Mario from Super Mario Bros. 3 is back and so is 2D side scrolling! This will be another must-have game for the 3DS when it hits North American shores later this year.
