Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga is the combination of the Lego Star Wars 1 and 2 with bumped up HD-graphics and slight tweaks.  This game crams in episode I thru VI onto one disc. The story holds true with the movies for the most part with tons of fun tidbits in the cut scenes for some laughs.  You will go through the story collecting studs, power bricks, unlocking characters and more.  It is not a complicated game to play, you will have your jump button, attack button and your button to switch between characters (except for the flying levels).  You will start the game in Mos Eisley Cantina where you can browse the shop to spend your studs collection, check out the two player arcade arena,  and get into the games very long story mode.

The story mode alone took about 12-13 hours to play through.  So if you plan on playing the free play mode, arcade mode, and challenge mode then expect to play for quite a few more hours.  Once you have beaten the first chapter of episode I, you will be able to freely choose which episode you would like to play next, so if you just want to skip ahead to your favorite you can.  Each episode has 6 chapters to play through(includes new levels).

Free play mode is the same as story mode except that you can choose the characters you would like to play through as, which is also the only way to earn all the rest of the collectibles hidden in the game such as mini-kits.  You can unlock these characters for this mode by playing through the regular story mode or buying them in the shop with all the studs you have been able to collect throughout the game.  LSW:TCS also has some new characters that were not in the original 2 versions and new character traits for your customized player.

The multiplayer action is the Two-Player Arcade.  The arcade mode gives gamers a few of levels and three modes to pick from:  Duel, Battle Enemies, and Collect Studs.  Duel puts the player against one another in a fight through the level.  Battle Enemies and Collect Studs are basically the  same way, with gamers battling each other to reach their goal before the other.  The online co-op mode is great except for the minor issues that come along with it.  Both players, even though on different televisions and consoles, must share the same screen which makes exploring a little difficult if the other player wants to go a different route.

All in all this game is great for all ages and all gamers whether beginner or hardcore.  It has all the things that make the movies great with some added humor.  The music comes straight from the movies and into the game and it sounds fantastic.  The gameplay is pretty flawless except with the sometimes bad camera work.  If you haven’t played the previous releases of LEGO Star Wars then this game is a definite must own but if you have played before then it will seem all the same.
