I love RPG’s and Citizens of Earth definitely brings some originality and cool characters to the table to keep that love for RPG’s alive.  The game has an interesting story, plays great and the voice overs are very funny to listen to when they actually talk.  The story is a little out there and the main character, the vice president, is pretty funny on how selfish he can be.  The controls are fairly easy and the enemies are some original characters that I have never seen let alone thought of before.  There are a lot of ups to this game but there are a few downers as well, just not enough to turn me away from owning this title.

The game begins with the vice president of the earth, that’s right the earth, who is woken up by his mother.  She wakes you to start your adventure and as you walk out of your bedroom his brother will join along for the ride.  As you play through the game more characters can join your squad after you finish the quest they require of you.  You can rename them from the generic names that are given to them.  As you walk out of the house, you will come across some protesters that are assembled by your political rival.  The protesters start out as normal people hating on the VP of the earth and then moving on from area to area you will come across some crazier bad guys that are not of normal looks.  Not to ruin anything of the game but there is so much to it from characters to crazy story twists.

The gameplay is awesome because you can see the enemies on the screen and walk into them to start your turned based battle.  Sometimes, if you are leveled up enough, you can have your team of 3 characters charge the enemies and beat them instantly without a battle.  There are ability orbs than can be gained and be used for special attacks that will help you against stronger enemies or multiple enemies.  If the characters are strong enough to face, you could possibly get a strike and gain extra ability point for your special attacks on the villains but if you miss or they get the drop on you then you lose ability orbs on your special attacks.

The battles are fun and interesting and have some pretty challenging aspects to them.  The ability orbs that were spoken of earlier, come in use during these battles.  They can help you use some of your more powerful attacks, defenses or healing abilities.  These orbs are earned by sneaking up on the enemy or just using a normal attack during the battle.  During the battles, you will face off against some crazy looking creatures that also have some pretty clever names.  The orbs add a little more tactic to the battles with gaining and using them, especially being that some characters are better fighters, healers or defenders.  Pick your characters you choose to battle with wisely because some of the characters have pointless skills or are not really strong at all and can get frustrating against tougher opponents.

The main storyline of the game is played in chapters.  There are a lot of things to do throughout the game from the main storyline to finding characters on wanted posters and the side missions to gain new characters to be your battle buddies.  The side missions are humorous and some of them are pretty puzzling.  All this makes going around the levels a lot more pleasurable and gives you are reason to search around.  There are also achievements within the game so those of you who like completing everything will be very pleased.

The Recommendation

I loved Citizens of Earth right away.  It brings a lot of originality to it and has a story that will have you giggling with some twists.  Those RPG lover’s out there will be very pleased with this game and probably love it more than I did.  I love RPG’s but they are not my first choice to play but in regards to this, I will say I found myself playing this over everything for quite awhile.  I think the graphics, controls, sound, music, voice overs and the overall game itself will have any gamer type happy with this title.  I say go get this as soon as possible and enjoy the fun and craziness that it brings.
