Microsoft Releasing New Controller For Xbox One

This is great news for owners of Microsoft’s Xbox One console whose controllers currently require an adapter to be purchased separately in order to use a headset with a standard headphone jack. The company is planning on releasing an updated version of the controller that will instead have a 3.5 mm headphone jack enabling the use of any standard headset. No solid date has been given as of yet aside from new controllers “released after June 2015” will have the new connection. Also taking into consideration that Microsoft’s E3 press event is slated for June 15, it’s probably a fair assumption that we’ll be receiving more information regarding the new revision of the controller along with whatever other announcements they may be hiding up their sleeve.
