Refunds given to unsatisfied H1Z1 players

Sony Online Entertainment has addressed many upset players with refunds due to them not enjoying the misleading Free-to-Play title H1Z1.  The game recently released on January 15th and was $19.99 on Steam for early access.  I was under the impression that this game would’ve been literally Free-to-Play and you could download it and buy things with microtransactions later on, but the early access is not free.

According to many players the microtransactions will give you airdrops that will have weapons and items needed in game to have an advantage.  SOE stated before the release awhile back that they will not have microtransactions that will give players special weapons or advantages, simply because they felt it wouldn’t be fun or fair.  To everyone’s surprise, this is exactly what has happened and if you are unhappy with your airdrop that you have received then SOE will refund you within reason or even just refund you the $19.99 you paid to download the early access.

These refunds were focused on players who bought the game before 10:30am Pacific Time on January 16th and they will have until Monday to request a refund if desired.  Sony did explain that this $19.99 early access is an early representation of the game to be finalized, which will be Free-to-Play once finished.  If you were one of the unhappy H1Z1 players let us know your complaints and experiences with the early access on Steam.  As always check back with us here at GameGravy for your favorite news and reviews!
