Microsoft’s new YouTube and Twitch rules

Apparently, Microsoft has changed their rules so no one can make a financial gain from streaming Microsoft content.  So anyone streaming Halo 5 beta or any other Microsoft game cannot make money off of their video as is.  Now if certain streaming parties or YouTube channels have ads within their videos then they can still make money from just the ads alone and not viewership.

Now since this only applies to Microsoft titles at the moment, I would like to add that Minecraft is excluded from the list.  This means that you can still stream or make videos of Minecraft using the guidelines that have been intact for Minecraft since the beginning.  Even though Microsoft acquired Minecraft last year for $2.5 billion they have decided to not limit users from making content with Minecraft to make a profit if able to.  As always check back at GameGravy for your favorite news and reviews!
