Earlier today Bungie released the new 1.0.2 Destiny update patch, which will fix a lot of huge issues that many including myself have had a problem with. No more decrypting purple engrams and getting blues or worse! Basically, the update changes the engrams and a few other things that will be worth mentioning. As of now the engrams will no longer produce an item of lower value than the color of the engram, so now we all will be expecting a rare from a blue or legendary from a purple. Also, Bungie has decreased the time on the Crucible maps Bastion and First Light to 12 minutes from the original 15 minutes that they were. There will also be more opportunities to receive engrams, such as from Daily, Weekly Heroic Missions/Strikes and Vanguard: Tiger playlists. Those modes will now always grant rare or legendary engrams in their rewards. For all other Destiny updates, be sure to check back often here at GameGravy!
