Fox files Trademark for Segas new Alien game (Updated)

UPDATE: Kotaku reported that this may be a first person shooter starring Ellen Ripley’s daughter Amanda. It’ll take place aboard a space station and feature only one Xeno for most of the game.

It appears that Sega may not be finished with Fox’s Alien license just yet. The other day, Fox filed a trademark for Alien: Isolation. This appears to be
the rumored game that Creative Assembly was working on, lending some credibility to the grainy screenshot that was making the rounds a few months ago.

The title being “Alien” instead of “Aliens” may be a clue as to what genre this game may end up as. All parties involved are as usual quiet about it, so no info as of yet, but here’s hoping that this doesn’t end up getting shit-canned like Obsidian’s Alien RPG.
