CONFIRMED! – GameTrailers.com has reached out to their Ubisoft rep, and he confirmed the box arts are real by saying “Why yes, the Wii U box art you sent is legit; in fact, it’s too legit to quit.” So there you go.
Amazon.ca along with Target.com may have revealed the design for Wii U cover art this week. As seen on a couple of Ubisoft games, this box art looks much more legit than any of the previous designs that have popped up, and the spine shot from Target really beefs up the validity in my eyes. I quite like the blue bar on top, as it makes the games very distinguishable from the original Wii boxart. I’m sure Nintendo wanted to avoid confusion like they currently have with the similarity of DS and 3DS box art.

UPDATE: Looks like GameStop has jumped on the blue box art bandwagon, as they have updated their image for FIFA 13 with the same design. It’s good to see the same thing from a different publisher. This seems even more like the real deal now!
