Nintendo Download 8/02/2012

Time for another edition of Nintendo Download: Only Portables Allowed!  Today’s digital releases are on the light side, as there are only two actual new games.

The first is The Lost Town – The Jungle for the DSi.  This top-down RPG/action-adventure hybrid has you trying to find a meteorite that has turned your village insane.  It sounds like there are some cool day/night gameplay scenarios, but otherwise doesn’t look that exciting.  The other game is 3D Solitaire.  This follows the adventures of a lonely smoke monster as he….naw, it’s just Solitaire in 3D.  Though it is from the studio behind Zen Pinball and Marvel Pinball, so you know the quality will be there.

Continuing with Nintendo’s newfound desire so put things on sale, this week Mario’s first GameBoy adventure Super Mario Land is only $2.99.

Rounding out the slate for 3DS owners is a sneak peak at one of the Rainbow Courses in this month’s New Super Mario Bros. 2 and a new episode of Dinosaur Office.

Pretty lackluster offerings this week if you ask me.  Will you be picking anything up?

Below is the official press release, or you can look at the pretty picture version.
