Override 2: Super Mech League open beta begins today on PS5 and PS4

Modus Games and Sony announced today that Override 2: Super Mech League’s open beta will be running November 19 to 22 on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, featuring cross-generation play!

The full mech-brawling experience of Override 2: Super Mech League lands on December 22.

In the open beta, you’ll be able test your piloting skills with eight out of the 20 mech full game’s 20-mech roster. These mechs include Mya, Vintage, Setesh, Watchbot, Sprinkles, Aura, Pescado, and Vidar. Each mech has a unique set of gear-busting abilities and Ultimate attacks, so we encourage you to try them all and see which fits your fighting style best!

The beta also features four out of the full game’s eight arenas, including Lava, Desert, Atlantis, and Stadium. The first three arenas contain distinct environmental features and hazards such as shifting platforms, or explosive lava geysers to take into consideration while facing off against your opponent.

Override 2 offers a variety of game modes locally or online with up to four players. In Versus, you can invite your friends to face off in 1v1 battle, 2v2 team matches, or 4-player free-for-all brawls. You can also test your merit in the online Matchmaking mode, that includes a random queue of the same Versus match types in addition to an all-new King-of-the-Hill match type called Control. At launch, you’ll be able to play all these game modes and more with additional customizable features.
