God of War trailer announces an April 20 release date on PS4

Digital deluxe edition available for $69.99

Sony announced today that the next adventure for Kratos, is coming to PlayStation 4 on April 20, 2018.

Sony Interactive Entertainment and God of War creative director Cory Barlog confirmed the game’s release date alongside a new narrative-focused trailer. In that trailer, posted above, we get a preview of the story of Kratos and his son Atreus as they embark on a new adventure set in the world of Norse myth. Here’s how Sony describes that new father-son adventure:

Living as a man outside the shadow of the gods, Kratos must adapt to unfamiliar lands, unexpected threats, and a second chance at being a father. Together with his son Atreus, the pair will venture into the brutal Norse wilds and fight to fulfill a deeply personal quest.

This is by far the best release date for a video game ever. Props for that.
