The pets! There are too many animals taking up too much space, and the government has set up a department to cull the number of pets in the country. As an inspector, it’s your job to rubber-stamp the pets that come through your office, either accepting them and letting them live or rejecting them and sending them… elsewhere.
My first playthrough, I did it as a guy who needed a job, so I listened to my boss and did what I was told. I suggest you go another route, it’s far more interesting.
Animal Inspector also has some pretty great music and effects, plus very clever instructions (you must sort all your papers, you must not use slang or misspell words, only stamp once…) that are reactive to how you play. For a free game – or $3 if you want the James-approved soundtrack, it’s surprisingly slick.
