Microsoft changes their Kinect policy

According to Microsoft, you can now unplug the Kinect and still play your games and view the entertainment content.  This is another major system reversal since the unveiling.  “Like online, the console will still function if Kinect isn’t plugged in,” Microsoft’s Marc Whitten told IGN.  If you don’t have the Kinect, you will most likely be without the voice command, the player identification and etc.  I would assume this is Microsoft’s way of trying to compete with the PS4 retail price of $399.  With the Kinect no longer necessary, now they can price the Xbox One without the Kinect at $399 as well.
