Seems like a Wii U accessory maker may have let the cat out of the bag early regarding the Wii U release date. While giving a presentation today at a GameStop managers’ conference in Texas, PDP casually mentioned that their new Wii U accessories could be purchased just before the console’s release on November 18th. This account was backed up by a different attendee, but who knows if the PDP rep is in the know and just let slip, or they’re just pulling dates out of their game slot.
Seems like this could be the real deal, as PDP danced around the subject afterwords by giving the generic “we can’t confirm or deny” spiel. It fits perfectly with the timing from announcement press conference to release date, along with the last Sunday before Black Friday. Of course all will be revealed when Nintendo hosts their unveiling conference on September 13th. Stay tuned for all the details!
