Peggle 2 is brighter, more colorful and has a little bit more of a challenge to it than its predecessor.  The first Peggle had the challenge of clearing all pegs which was pretty difficult at times and so of course they would bring that back this time around.  Some of the levels are a little more crazier, example they added armored pegs so it takes two hits to clear them, so clearing all the pegs gets a little more complicated.  As well as clearing pegs, there are a few more challenges added like clearing the level with certain points, clearing the levels with a certain number of balls left, and clearing the levels while getting a super shot of a certain kind.  When going for the challenges, if one of them is missed it is okay because you don’t have to do it all at once, you can go back and try for each challenge one at a time or all at once.  Most likely you will have to go back and do majority of the levels twice.

The characters are unlocked just by beating the levels of that specific characters land.  Your first and also a returning Peggle Master will be the unicorn, Bjorn, as the first character unlocked and his ability is the super guide.  The other Peggle Masters are Jeffery who launches a boulder, Gnorman has lightining power, that when the ball bounces around it zaps multiple pegs at once. Each Peggle Master you unlock also comes with their own abilities, which are new from the past ones, like using a rock that crushes the pegs on its way down to the bottom.  They also added fun new features with these Peggle Masters having their dances after you win and one of them has a surprise blurred out booty shake.  I could not believe that when I saw it but I laughed pretty good.

The game has the same appeal as the previous installment.  It seems like the game was left the same but added more elements to keep it fun and extremely enjoyable.  The colors are much brighter and more colorful than before but with the same great fun.  The music is goes great with the game and when you pass the levels it gives you the feel of satisfaction of beating the level.  Each peg hit lights up and the sound hits on point each and every time.

 

The Recommendation

60 new levels and 60 challenge maps should keep anyone busy for hours.  Peggle 2 is a hit with its fun game play and charming challenges.  This is a game that will take up a lot of time and keep you busy for awhile.  I remember playing the first one and not being able to put it down and once I played this one, it held true all over again.  Kids, parents and gamer’s will all love this game and is definitely worth the buy.
