Peggle is one of my favorite games to ever hit the market.  I over played it on xbox 360 and I never got tired of it for one second.  So I jumped on playing Peggle 2 as soon as I had the chance.  I loved the first one and the looks of this one seemed no different.  I got my hands on this game and just like before, I still love it.  I can compare the ps4 version to the xbox 360 version but there really is no difference other than graphics, in which I find just a little disappointing.  The ps4 version should have tried to add a little more to their version or bonus content only because it came out much later so they could have tried to put more of an appeal to making it more valuable to the customer.

Peggle 2 has kept the same fun concept and simple game play to keep the game to its original charming ways.  The colors are brighter, the sound is on target and the game plays pretty smooth without any slow downs, late chimes or dings, and gives all the satisfaction in the world when you accomplish each task.  The characters are a delight and bring in some humor from a classic movie great like The Big Lebowski.  The characters this time around are not in the cannon like in the first one either.  They stand off to the side and watch as each has a special level clearing dance, including a blurred out rear end.  Each character has their own special unique ability to help you clear the boards such as a big boulder in the shape of a bowling ball.

The game plays just like the original, you will have to clear levels before you can pick and choose which Peggle Master you want to use instead of the one given.  There are a total of 120 levels including the trial boards.  Each character has 10 levels to beat with 30 optional challenges to go along with it.  The trials levels also have 10 levels to beat as well but they have no added challenges but they can get tricky at times.  The optional challenges range from clearing all pegs to beating the levels with a certain scored shot to beating it with a specific amount of balls left to shoot.  The trials are a little tricky because you have to clear the board with one shot or make special shots occur to consider it beat, but its not a full board of pegs, its just set up in styles to make it difficult to accomplish.

The Recommendation:

I would fully recommend this game to anyone who likes gaming from the average I play once in a while to the most hardcore gamer.  It is very fun, addicting and has the overall feel of accomplishing something that can get difficult at times.  The beauty of the game, the sound, the music and even the little bit of reading in it is amazing.  I love the added quotes from The Big Lebowski.  My only complaint about the game is that they could have brought back some of the past characters or added a couple of more.  I think the game is definitely worth the buy and should be in all gamer’s collections.
