Assassin’s creed II continues off where its predecessor left off.  The Story gets a lot better as you play through, as the first one had a beginning and an end and a bunch of hoopla in the middle.  ACII has a Good beginning, a good middle, and a better ending to where you actually understand what is going on as its happening.  Ezio Auditore da Firenze is the new character you become while you are in the Animus.  There are new amazing and huge levels to play throughout the game.  There are now the additions of money, buying your weapons, threads, medical supplies, and new tomb levels that could possibly open a great treat for you the player.

The game will start off with you sitting in your room thinking about all that is going on with abstergo and everything you are learning as you have been in the Animus.  As you are laying there, Lucy will rush into your room or cell, however you wanna see it, and tell you that it’s time to go.  As you rush out the room, she tells you to get into the Animus quickly before the guards show up.  Desmond Miles lays in the Animus and she turns it on and you begin to witness the birth of another one of your ancestors, Ezio Auditore Da Firenze.  As soon as he is born, you are brought out of the unit and forced to run away from the Abstergo facility while being chased down by the guards and so the game begins.

ACII takes place in new places in Italy; Florence, Monterigionni, Tuscany, Romagna, and Venice.  The lands have been separated by inner city names which makes the levels larger and more area to rome and search for treasures and side missions.  The levels, just like the previous installment were created beautifully and are just amazing to see as you do your synchronizations from the top of viewpoints.  Also, they have added little secret tombs within the game that contain seals that unlock a surprise for those who have played and loved the first Assassin’s Creed.  The tombs have a major likeness to the “Prince of Persia” games, so for all of you “PoP” fans, you will that these missions.

The new monetary system makes upgrading your supplies and weapons different from the first game.  The bad part of having to buy your weapons, clothing, and etc…, you have to go back to your base which is in another city from all the missions so it gets a little tedious having to go back and forth to make changes to your equipment; fortunately, there are fast travel stations throughout the game.  The great part of it though is that you can build up the city and upgrade the shops to earn more money and to get discounts on your purchases.  It’s not overly detailed but it gives you a little more variety to the game of upgrading your equipment and adding to your city.

In closing, this game is a great game.  The graphics are fantastic, the story is pretty good, and the game play is very smooth for all the detail in the game and with all that goes on throughout.  The game is a definite buy, especially to those who love great ways of killing your enemy in violent and bloody ways, and to those who loved the “Prince of Persia” games.
