Didn’t we all get a good laugh when Oculus Rift and HTC revealed their stupid-expensive VR headsets? Especially when they will also require a computer that can do some serious heavy lifting?
Sony to the rescue!
The Playstation VR set will be $400, with a promised 50 games at launch including Star Wars Battlefront(!!) which will be quite cool. Since it will also use your PS4, you won’t have to drop nearly a grand for a rig that can run it, too. This is bargain basement stuff, plus releasing it right before holiday shopping season will certainly boost sales numbers for Sony.
