Forget Mighty No. 9, here is a new Mega Man inspired game 20XX

Well, I have something for those Mighty No. 9 fans who are extremely disappointed at Comcept and want a great Mega Man inspired game now on Steam early access for only $8.99. I introduce to you 20XX by Batterystaple Games.

A little background. Both games were Kickstarter backed (20XX was originally titled Echoes of Eridu), though 20XX’s raise was much smaller at just $20,000 compared to MN9’s $3.8M. Regardless, the team managed to bring the game onto Steam Early Access where they were able to generate the revenue necessary to continue development. The devs have been great about pushing out updates every two weeks like clockwork, and through excellent communication with players they’ve incorporated tons of fan feedback. It’s got some great features too, like online/local co-op and procedural level generation.

20XX has steadily grown as a game and its player base has grown along with it. Maybe it’ll even have a full launch before MN9 at this rate, who knows? Meanwhile, the user response for the game has been fantastic, earning a 93% positive review score on Steam!

20XX is currently on sale for 25% off (on top of the already discounted early access price) so Mighty No 9 fans can get their Mega Man inspired fix now without waiting.
