The Uncle Who Works For Nintendo is actually a game I reviewed about a year ago. But it left a big impression on me – how solid writing and branching storylines can come up with some really clever, unsettling ideas – without jump scare images or gruesome iconography.
It’s a great piece of browser game that I’ve been holding back on having an FTPF feature about until the right time – I feel like now is that time.
It’s the time for two reasons – one, I feature a lot of game jam-y horror minis on here, and I feel like I reviewed that game too early before these games started hitting their collective stride. Two, I drank myself into oblivion last night after losing a beloved hardcore character in Diablo 3 to a stupid mistake.
The Uncle Who Works For Nintendo can be played right here. Give it 4 or 5 playthroughs; don’t worry, they’re quick.
