E3 News OCULUS ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH MICROSOFT

This is some interesting E3 news that was released today by Oculus at their pre-E3 press conference. Oculus announced their upcoming partnership with Microsoft! So it looks like there will be a competitor to Sony’s Morpheus VR headset after all. I think it was a very smart move on Oculus’s part to get in bed with a video game giant. It will make both the headset and Microsoft stand out.

It looks like each Oculus Rift headset will come bundled with a gamepad, wireless controller and adapter.

It was also announced that the Oculus Rift will work natively with windows 10 and with direct-x 12, they will be able to deliver some high performance graphics. Which is pretty exciting. Not only that but you’ll be able to steam your Xbox One to the Oculus Rift and it was announced that you’ll be able to use it for games like Sunset Overdrive, Halo and even Forza. As most people know I’m a huge racing fan and I’m very excited to play Forza on the Oculus rift.
