Grandia II getting HD release

It has been recently confirmed by publisher GungHo Online Entertainment America that the highly regarded Dreamcast RPG Grandia II will be getting the HD treatment and is to be released for Windows PC on the Steam network. The decision was allegedly made in response to an overwhelmingly enthusiastic response to a consumer survey that was sent out earlier this year, although no release date has been announced yet.

Originally released on Sega’s Dreamcast console, Grandia II was later ported to the PlayStation 2 and PC platforms. The game received much praise at the time it was released for it’s beautiful design and innovative battle system. Although it suffered in terms of sales due to the relatively short life span of the Dreamcast it is still touted as one of the top games on the system.
