Silent Hills Cancellation

At the time that I am writing this I am considering this to be a rumour as I’ve not seen a solid confirmation from the developer. Allegedly the highly anticipated title Silent Hills, which is a collaboration between Hideo Kojima and film director Guillermo del Toro, has been cancelled according to statements that were made during the San Francisco Film Festival last night. Even though del Toro was allegedly quoted as saying, “It’s not gonna happen and that breaks my greasy heart.” this statement could also be taken out of context, yes he could be referring to Silent Hills, but he is a film director saying this at a film festival, there is a definite possibilty that he’s refering to a film. The one thing that I personally find odd about this that some are taking as an indication of fact is that Konami has recently decided to pull P.T. from the PlayStation Store. The rumour mill is definitely running at full steam this morning so keep a wary eye out for more information.
