It has been 20 lovely years since the original Sony Playstation graced our gaming needs and to celebrate that Sony has announced a new PS4 being released. The 20th Anniversary Edition PS4, which has the same gray look that the original had and it even has the colorful yet familiar PS emblem on it as well. This will be an extremely rare console to have simply because they are only making 12,300 units to ship worldwide , which reflects the original release date of the first Playstation. Sony hasn’t given wind of when you will be able to preorder the new themed console, but have announced that they will reveal all information this weekend at their Playstation Experience on December 6th at 10am PT/1pm ET.
Also, Sony has released in Europe a PS1 theme for free on your PS4 system and will surely be released hopefully later today in North America. It has a standard gray background and some new icons, but the best feature is when you start your PS4 up with this theme active it will play the nostalgic tune that the original PS played 20 years ago!
