Prepare to Die……again…only this time on Xbox One and PS4!

So many games have been making a re-release debut from last gen to new gen, only to make the gamers who gave up their old systems for the new console a bit happier and of course to net more money.  FromSoftware has announced that their popular game Dark Souls II will indeed arrive on the Xbox One, PS4 and DirectX 11 PCs next year on April 7th.

The announcement explained that it will be released as a compilation and called Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin.  The new version will include enhanced graphics, new story content and events, new NPCs to interact with, deadlier enemies, gameplay improvements and all the current DLC that has been released (Crown of the Sunken King, Crown of the Old King and Crown of the Ivory King).  FromSoftware hasn’t neglected last gen players though and has decided to give 360 and PS3 the compilation also.  It won’t have the enhanced visuals or sound, but will at least include all the newest content along with a big update that will add a new NPC and a few other additional improvements.

For those that already own Dark Souls 2 on DirectX 9 PCs, Xbox 360 or PS3 will get the update as well and will give them all the additions aside from the obvious visual and sound improvements that the PS4, Xbox One and DirectX 11PCs will be getting.  It looks like FromSoftware is going to be having a big year next year with Bloodborne being released along with a Dark Souls II for the next gen consoles as well!  Check out the announcement trailer below (It is coming out for Xbox 360, Xbox One and PCs even though it only says PS4 and PS3).
