Visceral Games and EA announced today that Dead Space 3 will be available exclusively on Kinect for Xbox 360. The new Kinect functionality allows gamers to use simple voice commands to help a friend from the horrible beasts that await them in Dead Space 3. The Kinect will also make it easier for co-op partners to give each other health or ammo, find objectives, revive one another and more when the game launches February 5, 2013.

It sounds like this Kinect feature will add some variety to the co-op gameplay. It’s nice to see developers tapping into the connect in useful ways. This seems less of a gimmick and more of an actual helpful tool. I’m excited to see this Kinect feature in action.
