Firaxis and 2K have announced some upcoming DLC for XCOM: Enemy Unknown, a game we loved here at the Florida office.
Titled “Slingshot,” it will take place in China, where you’ll use an operative named Zhang to traverse three new Council missions. Zhang will be uniquely voiced and faced as well, so no changing Zhang’s name to the name of your cat. Sorry Bootsie.
Also mentioned is that multiplayer will most likely not be getting any DLC. Considering the multiplayer in XCOM is so limited to begin with, and that this isn’t the first game this year to be an amazing single player experience, but with entirely skippable multiplayer, this is not all that shocking.
No price or timeline yet, but we’ll keep you posted.
