The next expansion map pack for Battlefield 3 will be the Close Quarters Map Pack. This pack is due to release sometime in June and will include 4 different maps which involve very close quarters game play. This expansion has also brought along with it a new game type called “Conquest Domination”. This is basically Conquest mode done in a much smaller setting with Team Death Match spawns.
One of the most amazing things about the Frostbite 2 engine running in such close areas is the amount of destruction that can now be caused. You will see particle effects from everything that is being shot. Is an enemy hiding behind the wall, well just shoot through it or better yet just blow a hole in it with an RPG. This looks to be Battlefield set to a much faster and frantic pace which should be great for all you adrenaline junkies out there.
