It appears that Paul McCartney, legendary musician from the Beatles & Wings, is apparently working on music for a video game! No, its not a Beatles Rock Band 2 release thankfully. In a recent interview with Germany’s Die Zeit, McCartney asked if he would ever consider writing music for a video game and he replied, he already was in the middle of working on a project.
Its surprising and plain awesome that someone in his generation is so thrilled about working with video games. I can understand the curiosity though, McCartney stated that he was so fascinated by the project due to the video game market itself, he noted he grew up only with radio and records. McCartney realizes that our generation is different because we consume our media digitally through the internet, video games, etc. He wants to make an impact and let his music be heard to us, and quite honestly video games are a great way to do it. Obviously, being a legendary rockstar I’m sure the music he will put out will be amazing and I look forward to hearing what game it will be featured in.
