Call of Duty Elite delayed for PC

We all know Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is releasing this Tuesday and we all know most of us are getting it.  Unfortunately for PC users the Call of Duty Elite portion will not be available on day 1 release.  Beachhead Studio’s Chacko Sonny has informed Activision that Elite will not be available on release for the PC version of MW3.  Sonny states “We’re as committed as ever to the PC, but the need to ensure a safe PC environment is greater than ever.”  He also said “It’s really extensive. We need more time to get there, so Elite on PC will not launch on Day 1. We’re working our butts off to make it happen, but we won’t release it until we know that PC gamers can enjoy Elite as it’s meant to be.”  Basically, since the PC is a less secure platform, they are working harder to make the PC version of COD Elite hack proof.  The Console COD Elite will be available day 1 for MW3, so no need to worry if you are a console gamer.  I do believe Beachhead Studios is doing the right thing in taking their time to ensure a more legit and cheat free Elite experience.  Especially, since the stats on Elite will tie in with possibly winning a Jeep or even an extensive trip.  We don’t want to see those prizes go to some player who boosts their levels with hacking, and for that we thank Beachhead in doing what is right.  Hopefully, they can get it up and running as soon as possible so our PC market can enjoy Modern Warfare 3 to its fullest extent.
